Product Overview
The Professional Spill Kit contains both a neutraliser and absorbents packaged as a handy, portable spill kit. The neutraliser effectively immobilises concentrated solutions of formaldehyde (15 - 37%) within 3-10 minutes and eliminates vapour emissions, ensuring a safer work environment. It may also be used with land farming techniques to neutralise ground spills, making it harmless to vegetation.
Important: Store above 0° c or crystallisation will occur, which reduces efficacy.
Specifications
Neutralisation rates depend upon concentration; 1L of neutraliser will neutralise approximately:
- 670mL of formaldehyde at 37%
- 2.5L of formaldehyde at 10%
- 6L of formaldehyde at 4%
Note: Buffered formaldehyde solutions may require more neutraliser for complete neutralisation.
How To Apply
Apply the neutraliser spray directly onto the spill, starting from the outside and working toward the center. Concentrated solutions will be transformed into a solid material within 2-5 minutes (may take longer at low temperatures). Diluted solutions will be neutralized in the same time, forming a slurry of suspended residue. Liquid residues may be absorbed or can be flushed away in accordance with local authority regulations. CAUTION: Wear suitable protective equipment when applying the neutraliser.
